Christopher Glynn is recognised as an outstanding pianist and accompanist, performing regularly with many leading singers and instrumentalists in concerts, broadcasts and recordings throughout Europe and further afield.

He has performed with singers including Sir Thomas Allen, Matthew Best, Claire Booth, Susan Bullock, Sine Bundgaard, Allan Clayton, Ronan Collett, Lucy Crowe, Michael George, Darren Jeffery, Anthony Rolfe Johnson, Jonas Kaufmann, Julie Kennard, Yvonne Kenny, Andrew Kennedy, Rufus Muller, Robert Murray, Ian Partridge, Derek Lee Ragin, Joan Rodgers, Kate Royal, James Rutherford, Carolyn Sampson, Toby Spence, Andrew Staples, Bryn Terfel, Elin Manahan Thomas, Ailish Tynan and Catherine Wyn Rogers. He has also partnered many well-known instrumentalists.

Chris made his debut at Wigmore Hall in 2001 and has since performed there many times as well as in all the main UK concert halls and in major concert venues and festivals throughout Europe and in the Far East. He has made several CD recordings for labels including Hyperion, Erato and Coro and many studio recordings and live broadcasts for BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and for European radio and television.

In 2001 he was artistic director of a festival at the Royal Academy of Music to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the death of Benjamin Britten. He has also been artistic director of two series of McCann Concerts at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Chris was born in Leicester, read music at New College, Oxford and studied piano with John Streets in France and with Malcolm Martineau and Michael Dussek at the Royal Academy of Music. His many awards include the piano accompaniment prize in the 2001 Kathleen Ferrier competition and the 2003 Gerald Moore award. He is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, a Professor at the Royal College of Music and also works often with the Samling Foundation.

In spring 2009 he undertook a major tour with Kate Royal including Wigmore Hall, Grand Theatre Geneva and the Schubertiade in Austria. Future plans include recitals at Wigmore Hall and for the BBC, a recording of Panufnik and Macmillan with The Sixteen, Reger vocal music with Consortium for Hyperion, a CD of songs by Michael Head and concert tours in USA, Germany and Japan.
