Tecwyn Evans Shines in Graz Tecwyn Evans, the new Erste Kapellmeister and Stellvertretenden Chefdirigenten (Deputy Chief Conductor) of the Graz Opera, made a big impression in October with his debut in the house, conducting Madama Butterfly to great critical and public acclaim. This success is part of a particularly purple patch of engagements for Tecwyn which saw him return to the BBC Proms this summer, with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and concerts with the Auckland Philharmonic in his native New Zealand.
