Alfred Brendel: The Farewell Concerts
This disc, released by Decca in December 2009, preserves the final recitals given by legendary pianist Alfred Brendel in Europe, which culminated in a performance of the Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9 in E flat with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras.
