Michael Gielen awarded the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize
Congratulations to Michael Gielen who has been honoured by the Ernst von Siemens Foundation for Music with the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize – often referred to as the 'Nobel Prize for Music'. Gielen will receive the award from the president of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities at a musical ceremony in Munich at the Cuvilliés-Theatre on 5 May 2010. The composer Helmut Lachenmann will give a speech in honour of the prize-winner. March 2010
